Groundbreaking ceremony in Vaggeryd for a modern logistics facility with a high sustainability profile
Last Friday, ground was broken for a new logistics facility in the Stigamo South area by the E4, just outside Vaggeryd. Here, Logistic Contractor, on behalf of logistics real estate specialist Verdion, is building a logistics property of 20 500 sqm.
Representatives from, among others, Logistic Contractor and Verdion were present in Vaggeryd to take the ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony.
“We are happy to be here today to groundbreak for a modern logistics facility with a high sustainability profile and we look forward to a good collaboration with Verdion, now and in the future”, says Martin Häller, Vice President at Logistic Contractor.
Mani Hemmaty, Technical Director – Sweden, at Verdion said: “Verdion’s pipeline across Sweden continues to grow, and the Stigamo South area is an important hotspot – especially because of its outstanding transport links. This new facility is being constructed to our high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability, with a roof prepared for solar panels and targeting BREEAM (Sweden) Very Good on completion. This is our first project with Logistic Contractor and we’re looking forward to working closely with the team, one the country’s market leaders in this sector. We are expecting significant interest given the location, power capacity and speed of delivery.”
The property is expected to be completed in late 2023. This is LC’s and Verdion’s first collaboration in the Swedish market.
