Logistic Contractor develops and constructs 20,600 sqm for Genesta in Denmark
Logistic Contractor continues its collaboration with the fund manager Genesta Property Nordic AB. A forward commitment agreement has been signed for LC to develop and build a logistics facility of 20,600 sqm in Solrød, just south of Copenhagen. The contract value amounts to 220 million Danish kroner. LC has recently acquired 48,000 sqm of land adjacent to motorway E20 for the project.
“We are very pleased about the agreement with Genesta. This fall, we will hand over an 80,000 sqm logistics facility in Enköping, Sweden to them. Although the building in Denmark is not as large, it is similar in its design. Additionally, we will bring well-established common routines and working methods from Enköping, which will ensure a smooth journey through the production phase,” says Benn Karlberg, CEO of Logistic Contractor.
During the fall, preparatory ground works will begin in Solrød, concurrently with the start of detailed planning. Construction is planned to commence in the first quarter of 2024, with a handover to Genesta approximately one year later. The facility will be certified according to BREEAM, with the goal of achieving the Excellent level.
“We are delighted with this acquisition, which aligns perfectly with our fund strategy. In partnership with Logistic Contractor, we will develop an impressive logistics facility in an excellent location,” says David Neil, CEO of Genesta.
LC’s advisors in the deal have been the law firm Gorrissen Federspiel and the auditing firm Grant Thornton.
