Climate-Smart Construction Site

An important piece in achieving climate neutrality in our value chain by 2045 is our self-developed tool “Climate-Smart Construction Site”. The tool has three levels – bronze, silver, and gold. Bronze is the lowest level a construction site can have, but we always strive for a higher level.

The focus of the Climate-Smart Construction Site is on reducing carbon emissions during the production phase through conscious choices and circular thinking. We achieve this by, among other things:

• Using electricity from renewable sources on our construction sites.
• Requiring a high degree of sorting of the construction waste generated at our worksites.
• Conducting structured procurement with guiding environmental annexes for requirements such as biofuels or electric operation for machinery and transportation.
• Exploring the possibility of using recycled materials.
• Keeping a digital logbook of materials and products used in the building for transparency and future traceability.

The tool is dynamic as requirements and measurement areas are evaluated and upgraded annually.
